My xbox360 Flash Fail. PlZ Help.

As the guys have said i can't see the firmware being the problem. Might also be a problem with your burner. Send your mate a blank disc and an original to backup and get him to burn you a game off and also ask him for one of his blanks and do the same. If the backup your mate does plays but yours doesn't it would indicate a duff burner.

So here is an update on my xbox. So recently I brought it to a friends house & he upgraded it to 1.51. It never worked @ 1.5 & figured it could do no harm to re-flash it to 1.5. He did & I let him borrow that & my dual layer burner for a couple days. He tried to burn & play a couple games on mine & had no luck so he flashed his own (which he never tried it before then) & the games worked on his. So I'm like WTF!!! I'm pissed off because I've spent over $100 trying to get this to work. $40 on Memorex disc (When i first started then found out about verbatims) $40 on Verbatims. $50 (i got ripped off, i know) on my dual layer burner. So now I'm @ the point where its really frustrating. I haven't put my xbox back together in over a month. I'm still trying to figure out wtf I'm gonna do. Ok enough of me venting.

Here is me trying to play "JUMPER" which is a "Backup Game" that my brothers online friend sent me. I've gotten it to play 1 time on the xbox & I played it for about 5 minutes then wanted to turn off my xbox & see if it'll work again. That was when I was running 1.5. But what trips me out is I sent him a game I burned & it played perfect on his but wouldn't play on mine. He sent me one (Jumper) & it played on mine & his. Well here is what is going on now when I try an play Jumper. (lol which I hate this stupid ass game..I'm just showing you to see if you have any info.) The disc is pretty dirty & I'm guessing that is why it won't play now. I asked him to send me another game & he said he might. I dunno...check out the videos though.

It says "PLAY GAME" (Jumper, the only game that has played 1 time which was sent to me)

as of right now this console will play orig games with no problems right.

the way that is looking to me is its a weak dvd drive
i have had 3 right out of the bow lite-on not want to read backup disc.
one was so bad i had to spoof in a v28 drive so it would work.

It does play the original games. I've been noticing lately though, after about 20 - 30 minutes of gameplay, my whole console will freeze. Why is that? Also is there a way to make my drive/laser stronger? Do you think cleaning the laser would work?? Should I just buy a new drive???

sounds like you have rrod coming up on that console soon.

if you have a xtra drive i would try it that is for sure.
