I was on youtube looking for a guide for flashing a BenQ with JF, and I saw this one.. This guy has an interesting method for getting the drive half open while powering with your xbox. Wouldnt this be hard on the drive? Also, its never good to pull the power plug while the xbox is on I though?

Re: Interesting BenQ Flash...
yea
i quit when he was holding the dvd drive tray from closing after he turned the power back on.
there is no way i would do that to someone drive.
just get a ck3 and do it right
its just a matter of time before he breaks someones tray.(or a gear )
you can do the same thing by just pulling the power out of the dvd drive (the dvd drive power plug)

I always do the power plug, but If your not paying attention, you could fry the drive (Like I did on my first flash attempt). When I was watching it, I was more or less breifly looking at what you need to do, so drive half open, what steps in JF, etc. Then I thought wait, he doesnt have a ck3, how did he get the drive half open with such little hassle.
Then I rewound, and saw what he did, I could feel the tension on the gears of the drive, it was painful to watch.
