My latest return from XBOX (June 2009) is a.... Philips & Benq manufactured January, 2008.

Not the drive I sent it in with, cause it's manufacture date was in 2006.

Maybe Microsoft has given up on the liteon's as hack proof, now just needs to use old inventory... :D

Regarding that, if you look at the top the model is DG-16d2s-09c

where on the pic cofree posted up only has DG-16d2s

Does this mean there are 2 different kinds

Thats weird there are 2 different model numbers...

I doubt it will have any effect on us. The only things really that effect us are H/W and F/W.

F/W mostly, because if it has a new way of dumping we will need to figure that out (by we I mean the ixtreme team)
H/W secondly, because with the lite-on you need to probe the r707 point, and if its a different board, the r707 will likely not give us what we are looking for. Nor will there likely be an r707.

the brand new consoles iam getting-light on's

HW VER AOA2
FW VER 74850C

I have to manually enter the numbers of the drive and change the aoa1 to aoa2. because it says" missing info"
on one of them i did'nt change the a0a1 part and it played the games choppy so i flashed it back to xtreme 1.51 and the it was fine. they have been brand new consoles. i've been using jungle flasher 1.59 though- is there a fix for this in the newer version? any information would be appreciated because the problem I'am having on everyone of the drives is someone is taking a pen across the numbers on the drive internally making the numbers hard to read.is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, the initials on the labels where the numbers are is very common. They appear on every lite-on that I've ever looked at. And sometimes makes it a pain in the backside to read them too.

So how do you flash an A0A2? I just noticed I have one, its 74850C FW I would like to flash in JF as I do not have my Serial cable for my ck3 yet...

Whats the deal with changing A0A1 to A0A2, and how do you do it?

I flashed mine fine, it plays backups and originals... Dumped and flashed w/o a hitch...

I was just wondering what docwarbucks meant by "I have to manually enter the numbers of the drive and change the aoa1 to aoa2. because it says "missing info" on one of them i didn't change the a0a1 part"

I didnt notice anything in JF where it had any info about a0a1 or a0a2.

use the newest JF click get key and then save the bin files.

Create you firmware in JF save as LITCFW.bin save that to your desktop

then make a iprep bootable usb stick with a lite-on fw

inside that create a folder inside the backups called 1234567 then open that and create another called 12345.

open that copy and paste your litcfw.bin in to that folder

boot into iprep and go straight to FLIT 1234567 12345

i do all lite-on that way saves locking up the drive at least then i can see the key a few times
