If foundmy.com found a way in a few weeks the collective community will have something in a few days. Other forums Iam reading are coming up with some really good ideas. $50.00 dollars from me to. maybe we should start a collection for the person who finds a way to decrypt it. Ill start a site called F**kfoundmy.com and take donations for the winner.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!! I did one this morning. Used jungleflasher 1.65 to get the bin file with 83 extract. then used dos to run freekey and get the key then back to jungleflasher-manual spoofed and inserted key. erased and power cycled thrice and then wrote the firmware and wallah-F*ck Foundymy.com

Basically, you have to have the lo83 files from foundmy to start with.
Hook up the drive, run lo83info_32.exe and follow the instructions on screen. The result will be that it creates a bin file.
Use the freekey tool from a command prompt. Basically, "freekey.exe filename.bin" without the quotes, hit enter and you have your key.
Load up jungleflasher, open the ixtreme firmware for the 83850c as the source, click manual spoof. Put the key in the top line and the bar code numbers from off the top of the drive in the next line. Save it, erase and flash. Done and Done.

Yea it was actually very easy just manual spoof the drive but do not spoof as a light on because this will cause problems

You might also want to manually put your serial data in as well. Just thought of that one. I think JF will allow you to get those files so you could just load the inquiry.bin from the manual spoof screen.

Re: Foundmy releases Liteon 83850c Rey Retrieval Service
ok sorry. another thing jungleflasher 1.65 83 bin extract is much easier to use then lo83 from foundmy. Also make sure to use the new light on firmware for that drive. we now have two versions of light on firmware
