try the enable0800 disc to see if you can initiate a 2nd dump to check your key

what are you talking about the 0800 enable disc
where have you read that is will get you back in a bad flashed samsung dvd drive.

its my understanding that the 0800 is just for enabling the older firmware so you could dump a game iso with it.

I have used this method 1st hand

I flashed a samsung & it did not go well..
I tried to reflash it with original firmware but it just halted @ the "xtreme pri master"

This fuckin broke & confused me for about half hour.. I did some research & figured out that samsung drives are firmware locked after flashing & the enable0800 is capable of unlocking... so I tried it & it worked


I don't have a direct link.. the knowledge is just a result of trawling through sites/pages & resources then peicing it alltogether.

Enable0800 ISO
Description The 0800 disc is used on Toshiba-Samsung Xbox 360 drives to make the drive visible in Windows. Then, the drive can be used to backup games.

Another feauture of this disc is on v4.x firmwares or later, it will also disable the FirmGuard protection!!! Which is required in order to upgrade your firmware or restore your firmware on your Samsung drive.

let me explain the process I used...

after repeatidly getting stuck @ ""xtreme pri master"

> booted iprep off the flash key
> waited for iprep prompt > type "y" / then type "y"
> plugged in my pc sata cable
> powered up my xbox
> inserted the enable0800 "for 10 seconds only"
> then EJECT

>> then... standard procedure for restoring/dumping/flashing

Creating Ixtreme Benq firmware
------------------------------

Copy your orig.bin into the appropriate folder
Run the "Make iXtreme firmware" batch file
This will create a ix14.bin file for flashing
Use the excellent Doshflash program by Schtrom or MTKFLASH to flash your drive with the ix14.bin file

see above... not every drive is bricked.. it might just be locked... It's all relative

The 0800 disk will work if anything else will. But I've never seen the 10 second trick not work for me. And in case anyone is wondering, I couldn't begin to tell you how many sammies that I've flashed. I won't even dare to even post a guess.

I used to use the 0800 disk to unlock with, but then the 10 second trick came along and the 0800 disk was history. I still have one for prosperity though

Right so this is what happend. I burnt the 0800 to a DVD DL, Then i put iprep on usb using fw 1.2fast read. Booted my computer to the flash drive, typed y for prompt, connected the sata cable to the sata card, turn on my xbox and then the fcking drive wont eject. I even went as far as opening the whole drive and putting the dvd on it and it wont read it. everything I try wont work. GRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE

Don't try to play a disc with the case off! I won't spin properly !!

If the drive bay doesn't open you should use the manual eject on the front of the drive.
you'll need a something long & narrow like a micro screw driver or a folded out paper clip to do this

ok.. it doesn't sound good

as sadalius & cofree have stated tho.. the 10sec trick is the common method for bypassing the firmguard
(although not for me! I have to use the enable disc // maybe it's something to do with my sata card)

I just read this thread from start to finish & some details are missing.
Can we go back over a few details so I can understand where you went wrong & try to decipher if there is a solution.

1st of all.... you say you didn't backup your original firmware! but.. what about the flash key you used.. has that since been formatted or is it still intact from your failed attempt?
