I need help!!! Ready to flash!

i dont power mine with the 360.people have said it takes longer for the D1 to start flashing when you do

Just remember that what ever computer you build the flash drive with iprep is the computer you have to try and flash off of.

Hey there is a game in the drive. Does that matter?

I don't know for sure if having a game in the drive will make a difference. It could, so take it OUT. But you should go back to the computer that you used to build your bootable USB drive. Using a different computer could throw the port addresses off and give you results like your seeing with the status of 0xFF

there is a good chance the drive will not go into debug mode if there is a disc in the drive.

0xFF is no good? k Im going to try the other pc. Also when i have the video hooked up it says "open tray" on the screen where the game name usually would be. Dunno if that matters. Gimmie a sec ill be right back

ok man i just took my benq apart and tryed a dump powering the dvd drive with my 360 power
the status changed after just a few sec.
i did not turn on the 360 till after i hit y to resend the mtk

you want tyo wait till the d1 is flash

This is what it does:

After pressing y to begin dump and then turning on the system it sits at 0x76. As soon as i turn the system on it chages to 0x80 and doesnt move.

Also do u think it would matter what pci slot the card is in? there is space between the two pci cards i have. One being the sata card.

Yea i know what u mean. Well no i havent but i will try. Also the when i turn on the 360 to flash it, the middle light will blink and when i plug it into the tv it will say "ejecting" and when i press the eject button it will say "closing drive" is that normal?

i've never had mine hooked to the tv and the tv on to see what it does

man at this point i would put it back together and make sure it will play a orig game.
all you have to do is hook the power and the360 sata back and power it up.

Remember, if you try it on a different computer, you'll need to rebuild your usb boot drive while on that computer.

I've read that some people that are having the same problem you are get it working by turning on the 360 then powering up the computer on the usb flash.
i don't see where this could hurt anything.If it locks up your computer just power it back down.
it maybe worth a try.
