Yeah! It was really tough and I was following 3 guides including CoFree's video. It was not as easy as he made it look. I was trying to give it some force to dissect the two halves and poof, it just cracked. Oh well, honestly not that big of a deal to me. Can always look into case modding a little bit later.NeoRio wrote:One of my 360s was terribly hard to get open in that same spot. What normally took me less than 5 minutes to do (open a case properly and easily) took me an hour...and at the end I nearly just broke it open...cuz it wouldn't open! But it ended up opening by pulling the case far enough apart (which I thought was going to break it...but it didn't). Anyways...once you have it open like that you don't feel like closing it again--if you're waiting for the SATA card (or fans, or pads) to come in the mail!

After reading through I see you have already popped the case.. but still - this goes to prove you can check the contents/drive unit of your box without flipping the case ... infact you can do i without peeling the the tamper sticker off the cardboard packaging
I think the 360drives.com databse should be considered as a very usefull & valid tool for people to not only refer to but also help keep updated
As you can also see the Lite-On drive is now surfacing on retail units in europe!! http://360drives.com/list?v_drive=4
I'm going to do the iprep method I believe on my spare computer using the Xeno kit. What is the best guide? I'm looking at a few, link will do just fineCoFree wrote:yea that (at this time) dvd drive is not flashable.![]()
