So I need some help, I have a Hitachi 79FL and Im trying to bring it up to date. Last firmware I put on was 1.51 and Now I'm trying to play a backup of Red Dead and it wont read the disk. Now from what I found out there is no newer firmware out, so Im just trying to get a feel on what i need to do i...

im actually having some trouble getting jf to find the 79fl, my jungle flasher shows to on the left side of the hitachi window and i can get it into mode b but the devices on the right dont detect the hitachi drive? any ideas?

im going to have sometime this next week to do this and i will get back to ya'll thx for the help. i will tell ya'll that now every game i seem to play off the hard drive freezes and says the disc is dirty which i dont understand since it is reading of the hard drive. any clue on that problem

so its almost like im redoing the entire process right? just taking the key off first? i read the textbook guide on it and it seemed pain stacking. do you think its a necessity to update? or is there a way for me to check which firmware is on there, before going thru the entire process again?

I had a friend of mine flash my 360 before i learned how, this was back in january, so now that 1.5 has come out i wanted to reflash it but i dont have my original firmware. so i was wondering how i can do this and if its easy or not? also im not sure what firmware he put on the drive the first time...

ok well i finally have another game to back up and i did jus like yall said and didnt fix it in mulleter and it works great, i have come to the decsion that it was just the media, cause the verbs have worked with dmc4 and turok. i will keep everyone updated. ok gears didnt work, with just rippin it and burning and dvd file, after i did auto fix it backed up fine and plays fine. my guess is that its ether a ripping issue or media one. maybe my drive rips bad and has to be autofixed. im open for any suggestions tho. i would say it works about 65% of the t...

so i set up imgburn from the tutorial and it worked on backing up table tennis, i did run it through mulleter and did the auto fix, then burned it with imgburn so maybe i just changed something, but im going to try gears and then report back. thx again,

i spoke to soon, skate didnt work, could it be that im usin memorex dl's (couldnt find Verb's). it almost seems as if there is a problem when it changes layers or something. the error says something about not being able to read sectors.im going to try to figure out how i can post the screen shots.

thanks a ton Cofree, so far i have gotten two games to back up. what i ended up doing was ripping them in XBC after unlocking them, then ran the check scan in mulleter, then in mulleter clicked make .dvd file and named in the game title with a 2 after it so i knew that, that was the second .dvd file...

ok so do i need to turn the iso file into a .dvd file? i just ripped another games so i will try it with this one and see if it works, thx
