Re: MS-25, totally clueless...please help
Just wanted to clear out that you don't need a connectivity kit to be able to flash, it just makes it a bit easier. Without the kit you can power the drive with the 360 instead.

Re: Bios cant find VT6421A card.
I had a problem with iPrep (or actually DOSFlash) semi-freezing when it detected my card while the SATA cable was connected to the drive. When removing the SATA it listed the card fine.
I then used JF and flashed it without problems!

Re: Beginners Make Sure...
I think what he is trying to say is that "normal" users should use the iXtreme 1.6 FW (repack for Lite-On) while the newer 1.6 0800 only is interesting for those ripping original games from disc using a dedicated drive. --------- IXtreme v1.6 0800 fw for Benq, Samsung and Liteon drives! Fe...

Re: problems with BENQ
Not much info about your setup!
The ben-ofw.bin error appears because it hasn't yet been extracted as the first step fails.
What SATA do you have? VIA card?
Try Jungleflasher

Re: dvd drive sata lead, stupid mistake
Also, bans are usually done in waves, and there hasn't been one for a while. It's also a difficult criteria to suggest when people's DVD-ROMs can die of natural causes. ;) Exactly! What if your console was repaired, or if the cable wasn't attached properly from factory? Even if you would replace th...

Re: Advice on returning console to MS
I also bought a cheap RROD console with a Hitachi drive. The warranty sticker didn't look so good but i sent it in and got a refurbished console with a BenQ drive. When opening it (i perfectly removed the warranty sticker) i can see that it's a modified 360 with extra heatsinks. Flashed it and works...

Re: Reflash Xbox 360 lite-on
It's the ixDef file from this page: http://robinhoodsplayground.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I had problems some time ago to load the newest ixDef to an older iPrep. I had to manually put the 1.6 in the "old" ixDef even tho...

I guess this was a more convenient way to check if you were unlucky having a Lite-On drive before the times of iX1.5CoFree wrote:i have never gave a crap about the wrie
read the label on top of the drive it WILL tell you what dvd drive it is

You cannot! This is unfortunately not a restriction in the drive firmware, otherwise it may have been possible to override.

Re: Unbrickable LiteOn... bricked?
It seems some people with this problem select the correct port in JF or run the l-o-eras command and erase even though no drive is detected. Try this a few times until you Maybe get a FF72.

Re: BenQ flashing problem!
Thanks for all the advice! I pretty much solved it! Whatever i do, DOSFlash still crashes on me. However, i feel a little retarded. I got it working in JF after using the open/close tray method. Before, i pressed eject on my CK3 then pushed it halfway in. Now i instead pressed eject, then close and ...

Re: BenQ flashing problem!
I have a pretty old 2.4Ghz single core computer from 2003. This is also when the latest BIOS was released which i already have installed (Asus P4PE board). Maybe i should just try using another computer (if i can get hold of one), which kinda frustrates me as it worked fine when i flashed the drive ...
